Celebrating Macadamia Nut Day 2023
Macadamia Nut Day is celebrated annually on September 4. This year, Go Future Media teamed up with Australian Macadamias to celebrate this special day by showing off spring in the macadamia orchard.
Many people don’t realise the macadamia tree is a native Australian rainforest tree.
The flowers that bloom on a macadamia tree each spring are completely different from other fruit and nuts trees. They are long racemes, very delicate and beautiful, and this then creates the most stunning setting to photograph in.
Amy from The Sunkissed Kitchen was engaged to create a spring inspired salad as well as a vibrant fruit platter and photographer Jess Kearney was briefed to capture this celebration of spring.
The results speak for themselves!

The images were shared across social media both on the first day of spring and on World Macadamia Nut Day reaching over 250,000 Aussies.
A big thanks to photographer @jesskearney_ and to stylist and creator @the_sunkissed_kitchen for bringing this idea to life!
And of course to Sally from Australian Macadamias and Wendy who’s beautiful farm we visited (again!).
